Outsider from across the Pond.........

Self-taught and Outsider artist, Ian Pyper from the UK makes doodles that go to another level. His whimsical art has a great lighthearted appeal and is held in many international collections. Here are a few new pieces, which I'm sure you will agree, are delightful.

Taken from the site of this trained artist......but I couldn't resist! "Steve Bartlett grew up in Louisville, KY and graduated from Kenyon College with a B.A. in Art. Prior to painting, Steve sculpted small interior to large-scale outdoor stainless steel works. His art is in the public collections of Neiman Marcus, Continental Airlines, The Port of San Diego, The City of Los Altos, and Adobe Systems, as well as in numerous private collections. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lora and their three furry friends." What fun!

Step into the rooms of his mind. Roger Hines is an amazingly talented assemblage artist, whose pieces reflect myriad's of hours reflecting, searching out elements, constructing, and creating  intricate works of art. They are breathtakingly beautiful, and have been collected worldwide. The price range for works by this New York artist is from $4500 to $20,000. They speak for themselves!

A stitch in time.......

Fabric, patterns, pins, and thread all make their way into the self-taught art of Carol Es. Her work has evolved into appealing art for all collectors, regardless of the categories they collect. Here are two recent works reflecting the sophistication she has achieved. This talented woman also makes handmade books which have received national acclaim. The top piece is called "Stop Apologizing" and the second is entitled "Forgive".

Whether he's busy inside or outside, Karl Mckoy is an extremely creative man. A Renaissance man.  As he redoes a garden of Old Roses, he still finds time to let the magic out in works on paper as well. One glance is never enough. Each piece requires a second look, and time to ponder. This man's art never falls asleep on the wall.
