AOL makes me cry!

A few days ago I received the first (AOL claims it was the second) e-mail from them stating that as of October 31st they were crashing all web sites built on their hometown pages. That means me.....all 400 hundred images, text and articles I've posted over the years relating to Art Brut and Outsider Art. I picked myself up off the floor and contacted someone who is trying to reconstruct them as we speak. Being a perfectionist, I'm freaking out. Should any of you visit the site in the next few weeks, please be assured that it will look more cohesive as time goes on.
Solely to make myself feel better I'm posting an ancient photo of my Mom and me on the beach in Hyannisport when I was small and the world felt safe! I'm the chubby one in my Mother's lap.

Thank you for uplifting message for George he is in a mental institution and the staff will not let him paint 'monsters'!Do you know why some artisans have to be driven to their knees to in pain and trauma to create?
Could I join Art Brut website and post my work? I have my own outsider art..and dark side..but do not post on my blog..don't want to freak anyone out!

Please send me your e-mail address so we can talk more privately. Or feel free to call me and/or visit.
Institutions are damaging their clients if they do not allow them to paint what is in their souls. Anything inside has the right to come out in art. If the staff is frightened, they should take an herbal tea break and step away from the art materials, so their clients can express themselves freely and without judgement. That's how there's a possibility of great art emerging.

That is terrible. I was just thinking the other day of all the blogging web content that I have that's not "backed up." But then I'm rather lax at backing up the stuff on my computer.

Thankfully it's all on a different server now, but I spent many a sleepless night until the job was completed. And, Kathryn, I really appreciate the reminder about saving the blog material as well. :)

Ahhhh - I see now why you said AOL made you cry. This is very eye-opening.

I love the picture of you with your mom, too!
